Defy by Sara B. Larson | Book Review

The premises of this book were awesome! I mean, it reminded me of Mulan. A story that I absolutely love and have loved since I was a little girl. That being said, I think that when I first heard about Defy it just had this big READ ME stamp all over it. The story seemed pretty original and it interested me right away. Thus I started reading. Another Little Piece of My Heart by Tracey Martin | Book Review

This book combines two of my favourite things; Jane Austen and old rock music. Jane Austen’s Persuasion is a book I thoroughly enjoy reading -and reread -always. Old rock music is the best, and is everything I need to feel good. Combine those two things and you’re a genius in my eyes. I just loved the take on Persuasion. Claire was a perfect heroine and nothing like the meek Anne from Persuasion. Claire is a modern day rock chick, opinionated and sarcasticc but with a very big heart. Jared was the impersonation of a modern day Wentworth. He did not score point with me at first.
