Cress by Marissa Meyer | Book Review

Marissa Meyer is such a gifted author. Every time I think this series can’t get any better, it does. After reading Cinder, I was hooked. I knew it had the possibility to become one of my favourite series. But Cress just confirmed that The Lunar Chronicles is one of my absolute favourite series. This book was absolutely brilliant, and definitely my favourite of the three books so far. Characters, characters, characters. Such GREAT characters. Gosh, I am such an idiot every now and then! (Kim, thank you for slapping your copy of this book in my face and making me read it!) A Cinderella retelling, and not just a retelling, because Cinder was a story all on its own with the fairy-tale elements sprinkled throughout it. The classic Cinderella fairy-tale was just molded into the story, a story with so much happening that its hard not to fall in love with the originality. It was just so well…
