Top Ten Books To Make You Swoon

top ten tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by the Broke and Bookish.

When I saw the topic for this Top Ten Tuesday I have to admit I laughed a bit, because there are just so many books, or rather, so many awesome fictional boy crushes! However, I want to share my absolute favourite swoon worthy books with you, so I picked nine! I have to say I am rather pleased with the swoon-ish result!

swoonable

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen is probably the most obvious pick, I mean, it is Mr. Darcy we are talking about. There’s no world in which I would discuss books that make me swoon without talking about Pride and Prejudice, it’s a given!

Something Strange and Deadly by Susan Dennard, because Daniel is the fictional crush that makes you swoon with his rocking personality.

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green, because Augustus stole my heart and has yet to return it. Also, Augustus is a whole sort of swoon on this own, therefore called: the Augustus Swoon!

Summer on the Short Bus by Bethany Crandell, because who in their right mind would mind any time spend sandwiched between Quinn and Aiden? I know I wouldn’t!

Pivot Point by Kasie West. My latest read, and my latest fictional crush: Trevor! I need to find myself a Trevor… desperately! and I’ll recommend him to anyone who’ll listen.

Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry. Introducing Mr. Sexy (aka Noah!). I think we can all agree that Pushing the Limits had some pretty awesome and swoon-worthy scenes! *fans face*

These Broken Stars by Meagan Spooner & Amie Kaufman *sigh* Tarver!

Unravel Me / Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi Bad Boy Swoons! I present to you as an example: Chapter 62 in Unravel Me. *blushes*

Name the books that made you swoon! (so I can make a list)

Tarver and Lilac!!! YES. They were adorable and feisty and so sweet all at once. I bawled when that-thing-happened-to-Lilac. *hugs These Broken Stars* FAVOURITE BOOK EVER. I also really like Something Strange & Deadly. They were rather awesome.

When ‘that’ thing happened to Lilac I bawled as well! Hell, I get teary eyed thinking back to it!

Both books are freaking awesome indeed! (I have very good taste if I do say so myself haha)

I love that Augustus has an own category of swoons! ;) I totally suck because I haven’t read Pride and Prejudice, Something Strange and Deadly, or These Broken Stars yet even though I have copies. I’ll have to get on with those some time. I love Noah, Warner, and Trevor too! Other books that made me swoon are The Sea of Tranquility and The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer! :)

You haven’t read Pride and Prejudice? These Broken Stars? and Something Strange and Deadly? You so need to rectify that, I promise you you’ll be forever grateful that you did.

I’ll add The Sea of Tranquility and The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer to the To-Be-Read-Because-These-Are-To-Swoon-Over list!

  4. Yes, yes, yes, yes, and more yes! I definitely agree with everything you’ve mentioned here! I’m a huge fan of the Tarver / Lilac romance in These Broken Stars (isn’t it just the best?), and Augustus. Oh Augustus. *bursts into tears* I’m so glad you’ve included him on this list, because he definitely deserves it! And Warner! *swoons* Chapter 62 destroyed my life!

Thanks for sharing Iris and great choices!

Haha, you’re so funny. For people that have read the books you just mentioned, you just described every single feeling!
(Augustus and Warner ruined my life as well! Too many FEELS!)

At first I was only going to put Ignite Me on my list because it felt weird to have more than one book from the same series, but they both are so swoon-worthy! I still can’t stop reading scenes from Ignite Me =)

Absolutely, I can’t stop reading them either! and I just had to put both on my list, they’re both super Swoon worthy, so yeah… putting only one on the list would be considered cheating in my book ;) haha

I’m so glad you included Pivot Point! YAY :) My recommendation worked! And yours definitely did too, because I SO AGREE with you on Daniel. I love Daniel & Eleanor. AND TARVER <3 I agree with this list so much (although I still need to read Unravel Me so I don't know about Warner yet xD) Also, I need to read Summer on the Short Bus when it releases, because you're definitely making me excited for it.

I so wholeheartedly approve of everything you just said in this comment!
And I’m so happy you loved Daniel & Eleanor (and TARVER! *swoons*)
-> you need to read Unravel Me asap! (let Warner win you over and turn you into a puddle) haha
And I can’t wait for you to read Summer On the Short Bus! You’ll love it, I’m sure of it (kinda… hopefully!)
