TTT | 2014 Releases I’m Dying to Read & Books on my Winter TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by the Broke and Bookish.

As you might – or might not- have noticed, I missed last week’s Top Ten Tuesday. I took last week off, and didn’t blog at all. I didn’t feel like it and couldn’t find the inspiration to write reviews either. Also known as The Blogging Slump. Which is okay… I mean, everybody has one every once in a while. Its just that what caused it is something I hate. I lost my reading buddy Monday December 2nd. At the time, I was so heartbroken that I just needed some time to myself. My little cat always kept me company while reading and I hate that he will never able to do so again. I finally picked myself up this weekend and started blogging again.

I did happen to love last weeks Top Ten Tuesday topic, so I’ll just do both this week.

Top Ten 2014 Releases I’m Dying to Read

2014 releases!

Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi

Shatter Me is one of my favourite series ever! Tahereh Mafi is such a talented writer and I can’t wait to read Ignite Me! I know there is another novella coming out (and the novella’s combined in a book) and I definitely need that – aka, I need my daily dose of Warner!

The One by Kiera Cass

I do love the Selection… The Elite left me slightly frustrated and I need the One to get rid of those frustrations. Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoyed reading it, but I hate how America and Maxon just keep tiptoeing around eachother *sighs* I just need that book badly!

Panic by Lauren Oliver

I finished the Delirium trilogy in no time at all. Lauren Oliver just has a way with words and I can’t wait to read her latest book!

To all the boys I’ve loved before by Jenny Han

When I read the synopsis for this book I immediately added it to my Wishlist. It sounds very promising and I hope to read it soon.

The Geography of You and Me by Jennifer E. Smith

Same as with To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before!

2014 releases! 2

Side Effects May Vary by Julie Murphy

Does this one even need an explanation? Don’t think so huh?

Ruins by Dan Wells

I’ve been waiting for this book for way to long! I finished Partials and Fragments in a day. Again, one of my favourite series! I think this story is very unique and original, I just can’t wait to read how its going to end.

The Murder Complex by Lindsay Cummings

This book is going to be epic! I just know it is going to be.

Strange and Ever After by Susan Dennard

I read Something Strange and Deadly and loved it! I still haven’t read the second book, but I plan to do so soon. It’s probably just as awesome as the first book, which makes the wait for this third book so much harder!

Frog Music by Emma Donoghue

This book sounds so promising and interesting! I have a thing for books like these, and can’t wait to start.

And these where the releases I’ve been waiting for! Did I miss any according to you?

Top Ten Books on my Winter TBR list

Coming this February…

coming soon

Ignite Me by Tahereh mafi & Into The Still Blue by Veronia Rossi

Both of these books I’ve been eagerly anticipating. I loved the predecessors and can only hope that the these will add up to them -they probably will. February can’t come soon enough!

lying around

Frozen by Melissa de la Cruz & Once We Were by Kat Zhang

I have both these books lying around, but somehow I just haven’t started them yet. There’s always been other books that came in between. Such a shame because I’ve heard lots of good things about it!

dying but postponed

Revolution 19 by Gregg Rosenblum & Mila 2.0 by Debra Driza & Reboot by Amy Tintera & Taken by Erin Bowman

No you don’t have to slap me in the face, I slap myself every time in the face when I walk into my bed room and see them on my shelf. These are books I’ve been dying to read ever since I got them, but there are just so many other books that I get for review… and I start them because I feel like I have to. That’s why this upcoming Holiday I will first start these! and I need you to help me keep that promise… remind me every day if you must, bug me and torture me, but make sure I read them!

won but not read

Time Between Us by Tamara Ireland Stone & Red by Alison Cherry

Both of these books I have won in a Twitter contest, and been wanting to read… Still haven’t though. Did you hear that sound? Yes that was me slapping myself in the face again!

So, here we have my Winter TBR pile! Which books can be found on yours?

I so agree with you on Lauren Oliver, she has such a way with words! Therefore I’m also really excited for Panic. And yeah, The Murder Complex sounds amazing and wonderfully intense.
I can’t wait for Into the Still Blue, this is one of my favorite series and I can’t wait to find out how it’s all going to end! I’m planning to read Shatter Me this winter, so I’ll probably love it & end up wanting to slap myself for not reading it sooner.
I love that you’re slapping your self in the face for not having read Time Between Us yet, because I think you should read it soon! I really liked it.

I’m so sorry to hear about your cat dying! I have cats too and I can’t imagine losing them. It’s hard :( *hugs*

I seem to be slapping myself in the face a lot lately … haha. I’m planning on reading it this holiday! I have a big list, but hey! I’m an overachiever.

Thank you, it is hard. I didn’t see it coming at all, and then it just sprung on me. It went from a perfectly fine day, to hearing that my little friend had cancer and wasn’t going to make it. It’s hard, but in the end I just have to keep in mind that he was in so much pain, and this was what was best for him.

I’m really excited for The Murder Complex, Side Effects May Vary, and To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before too! They all sounds like promising reads so I hope they’re as good as they sound. I read Red and though I liked it, it wasn’t as good as the synopsis made it seem, but I still enjoyed it. I hope you enjoy it too :)

Aw… It wasn’t as good as the synopsis made it seem? I loved the synopsis and it made me laugh, since my sister is a redhead. We crack a lot of jokes about her carrot hair colour, so Red seemed perfect. But you still liked it, so I hope to share that opinion!

All three books you mentioned have me on the edge of my seat… Can’t wait to finally get my hands on those books!

I’m sorry to hear about your reading buddy :(
Your lists look amazing though, that’s one of the things about TTT link parties. My TBR list just keeps growing and growing! lol

Thanks :( It’s still a sore spot, but it was for the best.

I know what you mean about the TBR list that keeps growing… Yours had me add two books as well haha

Great list! I want to read so many of these – The Murder Complex, the new Jenny Han book (loved her Summer series) and The One.

Great list! I hope you get to read them all. My TTT.
